LANDSCAPE FIELD SCHOOLS
preserving the legacy of community heritage landscapes

Each summer, Landscape Field Schools offers students the unique
opportunity to work with communities throughout southeast Asia and
Australasia to help preserve the legacy of some of the world’s most important
community heritage landscapes.

The program is open to students interested in heritage planning, cultural
landscapes, international development, design and planning.  Students in the
past have been motivated by a sense of adventure, a curiosity about places
unfamiliar, a longing to meet people with differing worldviews and a desire to
contribute to real-world, community-based heritage projects.

Summer programs run for 3 1/2 weeks in the field and include visits to other
regional sites of world heritage significance.
